This standard applies to crystalline graphite obtained from graphite ores and wastes from metallurgical and other industries, intended for the manufacture of paints, pastes and dust used in foundries.

Depending on the industrial application, graphite is produced in the following grades in accordance with GOST 17022-81:

Graphite GL-1 (ГЛ-1)

Ash content, %, not more than = 13
The residue on the sieve No. 016, %, not more than = 40
Moisture content, %, not more than = 1,0

Graphite GL-2 (ГЛ-2)

Ash content, %, not more than = 18
The residue on the sieve No. 016, %, not more than = 40
Moisture content, %, not more than = 1,0

Graphite GL-3 (ГЛ-3)

Ash content, %, not more than = 25
The residue on the sieve No. 016, %, not more than = 40
